The only person capable of dispelling the plague suffered by the town of Brie and returning the realm to peace. You know the ways of the rats and must use all your skills, bravery, and cunning in order to defeat them. But beware: The rats are beginning to change, and it’s not for the better, so hurry.

A solo only game that offers a unique adventure theme and experience unlike most others. The game pits you, The Ratcatcher, against a seemingly endless horde of rats in a brutal race for survival. Destroy rats, explore the township and most importantly gather the magic cheese.

Game Crafter competition
Originally designed for the solo-only competition via the Game Crafter the Ratcatcher was put together in 30 days leading up to the deadline. It was a tight deadline! 
The game finished up as a finalist (equal 2nd place) 

Kickstarter
Ratcatcher was successfully funded on Kickstarter in 2020. At over 400% funded the game easily unlocked all the fancy upgrades I could muster. And best of all, there are NO Kickstarter exclusives. The copy of Ratcatcher you get today includes everything that was featured in the Kickstarter. This will always be true for Platypus Industries' product lines. 

One man project
The Ratcatcher was created solely by myself (Matthew Aslin) I did all the game design, development, graphic design, and artwork.

Solo Only gameplay
Ratcatcher features a single-player-only game. This was a conscious choice as solo gaming is a market that is enjoyable and reliable. A gamer will always want to game, so why wait for the opportunity, you can always play solo.

Great service, hard game.

As always, Gameology deliver a great service. The game is hard and the rules that come with the game are confusing, you'll need to download the updated rules from either BGG or Platypus Industries themselves. If you are a hard core solo play gamer and don't mind a challenge, and losing, it's a decent enough game. I enjoy it.

As always, Gameology deliver a great service. The game is hard and the rules that come with the game are confusing, you'll need to download the updated rules from either BGG or Platypus Industries themselves. If you are a hard core solo play gamer and don't mind a challenge, and losing, it's a decent enough game. I enjoy it.
