Sheep farming across New Zealand

Having never played the previous 2 versions of Great Western Trail, I purchased the NZ version on positive reviews.
It is a medium/heavy game with so much going on but am having a blast playing it Solo so far. The variety in strategies have made this a winner for me, from sailing the harbours, shearing sheep for their wool value, building up your card deck with more valued sheep.....so much fun!

Great Western Trail NZ

The only thing missing from this game is a side board featuring a Rugby Match - Great Western Trail NZ features just about everything that board game enthusiasts like in games, variable win conditions, the option to play friendly or mean, relatively easy to get into and play, but with lasting complexity to never get stale. Just make sure you give yourself an hour before the game group arrives to set the thing up as there are A LOT of components. Quite similar to the original great western trail, with just a few variations that both expand and streamline the game - and it's sheep instead of cows, which of course makes all the difference.
